Suzuki Mehran History
The Suzuki Mehran is a worldwide retired compact car that is manufactured and sold by Pak Suzuki Motors, a Suzuki subsidiary in Pakistan. It is a modified second generation Suzuki Alto CA / CC71 that was sold in the Japanese and European markets from 1984 to 1988. Pakistan was the only country where cars were produced before 2017. When the second generation Suzuki Mehran arrived in Pakistan in 1989, it was priced at PKR 90,000. It is one of the best-selling vehicles in Pakistan. In 2015, media reported that the car sold for $ 6,500- $ 7,700, a very high price tag compared to a vehicle with all manuals and no safety features. The car has no airbags, abs, rear windshield deactivation, side deflectors, seat belt reminders and even rear seat belts. The air conditioner from the passenger has been removed from production, headlights and taillights, bumpers and radiator grilles have been replaced.However, since 2013, EURO II engines have been installed that meet Pakistani emission standards. The suspension system is based on an outdated rigid axle that previously hung and was cheap to replace the shock absorbers.
Second generation Suzuki Mehran
